A Dependency on the Father

In John 7 and 8, Jesus continuously refers back to His Father as being the one who teaches Him, and gives Him life. Jesus is taught by and is dependent on the Father. He also gives glory to the Father for helping Him and speaking through Him. If my goal is to be like Jesus in everything, then I need to be constantly depending on the Father for everything.

  1. Jesus is taught by the Father
  2. Jesus gives glory to the Father
  3. Jesus is dependent on the Father for everything
My father is a constant encouragement to me. He is always trying to help me learn something. I believe that our heavenly father is just the same way. He is always trying to help us learn more about Him. Jesus said that His Father taught Him and spoke through Him.   It is my goal to be always taught by the Father and to speak His will.

To give glory to the Father is to attribute everything that you do to the Father's name. Jesus never says, " I did this, or This was my doing only." He praised the Father for helping Him to be who He is.  My goal is to bring God glory, by always praising Him for who He is.

To be dependent on the Father is to constantly turn to Him for help. I wish I could say I am perfect at this, but sadly, I always fail. God is teaching me to lean upon him and let Him be my guide. I am learning to pray over other believers when they need a verbal prayer. Sometimes verbally praying over someone can show them that you really care.

All praise to the Lamb who sits on the throne!

Unto the LAMB

I can see Jesus, high and exalted
My eyes are fixed upon His face
It shines like the sun
I can see Jesus, clothed in glory
He is high and lifted up
And His train fills the temple

[Pre-Chorus]
And all of the angels cry Holy
All the saints cry Holy
All creation cries Holy
Holy is the Lamb

[Chorus]
All praise unto the Lamb Who sits on the throne
Honor and power, dominion and praise
Unto the Lamb
Who was and is
And is to come

[Bridge]
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah

All Praise unto the Lamb Who sits on the throne
Honor and power
Dominion and praise
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah

~This song has been stuck in my head for about 5 days now. Listen to it for it praises the LORD ALMIGHTY! He is worthy of praise!

Thought of the Day

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.

Collaboration is something I have been thinking a lot about lately. Collaboration is working together with friends, partners, and/ or family. It seems to me, like God wants us to have friends and partners. Which makes sense, if you think about it. One of my main leaders has a lot of side guides, wise guides, and surprise guides. Let me explain what those are.

Side guides--friends about your age who come along and help you through things
Wise guides--older men and women who act as your mentor through life
Surprise guides--younger children who help you by giving advice and/ or praying for you.

This is very important to have, because mentors guide you through life, younger friends help you laugh and make sense, and peers make you stronger as a group.

With my thought of the day,

Bowl Game Update!!!!!

I am a complete foot ball fan so this is an IMPORTANT update. South Carolina is behind michigan by 1 point. There is 17 seconds left and (Breaking News: South Carolina just got a touchdown!) 11 seconds left.
33-28
South Carolina is going for a 2 point conversion because if they get it and Michigan gets a touchdown then it will be tied. Smart move. They missed it and a penalty was placed on South Carolina for offensive pass something...South Carolina kicking off to Michigan. 11 seconds left. Michigan's first play is tipped. Falls uncomplete. Game is over!!! South Carolina's game is over. S.C. coach is talking about the game.
