A Thank You to Friends and Family

Thank Y"all so much for praying for me as I went through surgery on my toes. I am getting better but I still have to where some very clumsy shoes until Wednesday. I'm counting down the days. I hope you all liked my last post of me in the snow. My camera is very helpful in blogging.
I would also like to thank the cooks for our Christmas feast!  They made a wonderful feast of :

  • Stuffing and green beans
  • sugar cookies and peppermint bark
  • rolls and strawberry pretzel salad not actual salad

Christmas traditions

Welcome to the Cottage! I love Christmas traditions. One of my favorites is the 1st weekend in December we always watch Home Alone. Another is the putting up of our Christmas tree. We usually do it right after Thanksgiving.  One of my favorite activities is the Christmas Eve cookie making.  We always do it after lunch and before we go to the Christmas Eve service.  Then we go to the Christmas Eve service . When we get home, we always read the Christmas story in Luke 2 then we sing Christmas carols. We always get an ornament gift from our parents. We also have a tree called the picture tree in which mom puts all the pictures of us as we are growing up--a new picture each year. It is fun to see us as we are growing up.
